AMMAN — A Royal Decree has been issued approving a Judicial Council decision to appoint graduates of the 20th batch of the Judicial Institute diploma as apprentice judges in the second degree as of October 1.

The Judicial Council’s Secretariat General on Thursday said that the 2014 Judiciary Independence Law, like other Arab and regional laws, has adopted the idea of apprentice judges, which was first applied in 2012, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The secretariat general said that more than 200 judges have been appointed since 2012.
