MAFRAQ/TAFILEH — The Saudi Specialised Medical Clinics on Wednesday presented wheelchairs for the elderly and people with disabilities among Syrian refugees in the Zaatari Refugee Camp in cooperation with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Acting Director Abdullah Suheimi said the clinic staff and MSF conduct regular visits to the camp to check on residents’ needs and offer psychological support.

Also on Wednesday, the Saudi campaign to support Syrians handed out 6,100 blankets and 2,200 food parcels to refugees.

Saad Sweid, director of the campaign, said each parcel contains 40 kilogrammes of basic food items that cover the needs of seven people, noting that more than 7,000 families in the camps have benefited from the donation so far.

Meanwhile, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Wednesday distributed food parcels to 65 Syrian families in Tafileh.

The assistance was distributed in cooperation with the We are All Jordan Youth Commission and the Malaysian embassy in Jordan.
