Senior Saudi official due in Amman Tuesday

AMMAN — A senior Saudi official is expected in Amman Tuesday for high-level talks over issues of concern to the two kingdoms, a source said.
The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not give details about the expected meeting, but said the two sides will discuss efforts exerted to combat terrorism, the Syrian crisis and the Iranian nuclear deal.
However, the economic ties between Amman and Riyadh, are expected to be the focus of the Saudi official’s talks in Amman.
Responding to a question on the bilateral ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, the source said that “relations are excellent,” echoing similar remarks by His Majesty King Abdullah and top officials from both countries.
