Social Development Ministry employee allegedly attacked over nursery inspection

AMMAN — A Social Development Ministry employee on Wednesday was allegedly attacked by several people while he was inspecting an unlicensed nursery in Tabarbour, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The alleged attack occurred when a Social Development Ministry team was sent to conduct an inspection following information the ministry received regarding unlicensed nurseries. The victim was sent to Prince Hamzah Public Hospital, the concerned authorities were informed and the suspects were arrested, according to Petra.
The ministry condemned the attack, stressing the importance of children’s safety in nurseries and emphasising that it will follow up on the incident to ensure that the perpetrators receive a proper penalty according to the law.
