SSC inspection campaign covers foreign labour violations

AMMAN — Director General of the Social Security Corporation (SSC) Hazim Rahahleh on Sunday said that the corporation, during an inspection campaign it launched at beginning of 2019, visited 3,564 institutions and detected 2,179 violations.
The campaign, which aims at checking on including foreign workers in the social security, in accordance to their wages and actual work periods, is organised in coordination with the Labour Ministry.
The SCC aims to provide social and economic protection to all workers and employees in Jordan regardless of their nationalities, Rahahleh added.
He said that the campaign also aims at providing a decent life, psychological stability and a decent future for workers and their families in case of losing the ability to work, whether for reasons relating to retirement age, death or work injuries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
