AMMAN — Jordanian student Shaker Wasim Zo’rob on Sunday donated JD2,660 to the fund, launched by His Majesty King Abdullah, to support the families of army and security officers who died in the line of duty, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The donation is part of the revenues the student generated from his book “Rehlat Shokor” (A journey of gratitude) to raise the public’s awareness of the army’s role in protecting the country. Also on Sunday, the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce donated JD10,000 to the fund and opened a bank account to receive donations for the fund from the private sector in the governorate.
