According to the department, the man is suspected of terrorising citizens and robbing them, and shooting police and Gendarmerie forces during protests against the government’s decision to lift fuel subsidies.
Police on Sunday announced the arrest of two men in connection with the robbery of and acts of vandalism against several banks in the Kingdom during riots last Wednesday following the government’s decision to lift fuel subsidies.
Two wanted suspects were reportedly killed during a shootout with police on Monday in the North Hashemi suburb of Amman, official sources said.
The State Security Court (SSC) prosecutor on Wednesday indicted eight men who were apprehended during a police raid earlier this month that left one dead and several wounded in the capital's Sweileh suburb, official sources said.
