Three-day cultural programme to be held in Jerash

AMMAN — In cooperation with Jerash Municipality, the Royal Cultural Centre (RCC) will hold a three-day cultural programme in the northern governorate to commence on February 26.
At a press conference on Saturday, RCC Director Mohammad Abu Summaqa said the event will include concerts by local singers and exhibitions showcasing handicraft, traditional arts and photography.
Solar cooling units will be installed at the Royal Cultural Centre (RCC) and the Irbid Chamber of Commerce to reduce power consumption and encourage the use of renewable energy resources, under deals signed Thursday.
The Cabinet on Saturday decided to revoke the production-sharing agreement between the Natural Resources Authority (NRA) and Trans Global to explore for oil at the Dead Sea and Wadi Araba areas.
