Turkey seeks to support Palestinian refugee camps

TAFILEH — Department of Palestinian Affairs Director General Mahmoud Aqrabawi and Turkey’s Ambassador to Jordan Sedat Onal on Saturday examined ways to support the Palestinian refugee camps in the Kingdom.
Aqrabawi highlighted the camps’ situation, the services that the government provides to Palestinian refugees, UNRWA’s services and related financial difficulties.
Onal said he would like to visit the camps of Jerash, Hitteen and Baqaa to learn firsthand about their actual needs and the possibility of financing some vital projects.
Turkey’s Ambassador to Jordan Sedat Onal inaugurated a nursery school at the Zaatari Refugee Camp on Tuesday.
Palestinian Affairs Department Director General Mahmoud Aqrabawi on Saturday met with heads of Palestinian refugee camp committees and discussed the level of services provided to camp residents.
Interior Minister Hussein Majali and Turkey’s Ambassador to Jordan Sedat Onal on Monday discussed ways to boost Jordanian-Turkish relations and the impact of the crisis in Syria, at the local, regional and international levels.
