Two suspects arrested in drug smuggling attempt at Queen Alia Int’l Airport

AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have foiled an attempt to smuggle half a kilogramme of cocaine and other amounts of narcotics into the Kingdom, arresting two people suspected to be involved in the case, a security source said on Monday.

The source noted that AND personnel received a tip-off on a man who intended to smuggle drugs through the Queen Alia International Airport, after which agents proceeded with the necessary procedures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

after searching the suspect and finding the narcotics hidden in his clothes, the source said. The team members arrested the suspect and his accomplice, the source added.
