Two women arrested for allegedly stabbing another woman

AMMAN — Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of two women of an Arab nationalitywho reportedly stabbed a woman in downtown Amman earlier in the day.
The victim, a Tunisian national, was stabbed on Tuesday morning allegedly by the two women on Basman Street, Police Spokesperson Lt. Col. Amer Sartawi said.
"The victim was rushed to Al Bashir Hospital and the two women were immediately arrested," Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
The police official added that the victim is recovering at the hospital and was listed in fair condition.
"We are currently questioning the two suspects to learn more about the incident," Sartawi said.
A second source added that investigators seized a sharp object that was allegedly used in the stabbing incident.
"The sharp object was sent to the criminal lab for further analysis," the second source said.
The two women were ordered detained at a correctional and rehabilitation centre for 15 days pending further investigations, the second source added.
