UNDP launches training on solid waste management

AMMAN — UNDP Jordan, supported by the Canadian government, on Monday started a training workshop on “Integrated Solid Waste Management” for the joint services council in the northern region of the Kingdom.
The four-day training focuses on technical and operational procedures and covers interactive topics with emphasis on solid waste management work standards and procedures, occupational health standards, and landfill design and construction, according to a UNDP statement.
The training comes under the project “improving solid waste management and income generation in host communities for refugees” implemented by UNDP Jordan, funded by the Canadian government, and in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.
