University of Jordan launches anti-drug campaign

AMMAN — Students and administrative staff of the University of Jordan (UJ) on Thursday launched a campaign to fight drugs in the Kingdom under the slogan of 'Narcotics Are Destruction'.
Hundreds of students marched on campus accompanied by UJ President Ekhleif Tarawneh, lecturers and administrative staff. Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) officers attended the event, during which the Public Security Department band played music.
The campaign includes lectures on the danger of drugs, plays and field visits for UJ students to the AND museum and the centre for rehabilitating drug addicts.
