AMMAN — Students from the University of Jordan (UJ) and the Jordan University of Science and Technology on Wednesday discussed married couples’ joint property ownership at a debate.
USAID’s “Takamol - Gender” programme, in cooperation with UJ’s Centre for Women’s Studies, organised the debate to “strengthen values of gender equality” among university students, according to USAID and UJ.
“Takamol” is a USAID-funded initiative focusing on “mainstreaming gender through policy reform at national and community levels”, according to the agency’s website.
