The statement said that 2,881 buses transferred people at no cost, while 13 specialised tourist transportation companies benefitted from the programme also provided 560 tour guides free of charge.

"The participants in Urdun Jannah benefit from promotions and subsidised prices at restaurants, hotels and entertainment areas in Amman and nationwide," the statement added.

Late in July, the ministry and the Jordan Tourism Board required participants, service providers and tour guides of Urdun Jannah second season to download the “Aman” application to identify potential coronavirus patients in case it is later discovered that a COVID-19 positive person was among any of the programme’s trips.
