AMMAN — The US embassy in Amman on Saturday denied reports that it required visa applicants to provide their social media account passwords, according to a statement from the diplomatic mission.
“We are aware of the local media reports concerning visa application procedures. While consular officers worldwide occasionally ask visa applicants to provide additional information, we do not ask applicants for their social media account passwords,” the statement said.
