Women MPs brief Razzaz on challenges, citizens' issues

AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Thursday met with the women deputies of the Lower House’s Reform bloc, a National Coalition for Reform statement said. The meeting came as part of the women MPs' follow ups on a number of issues of concern to Jordanian citizens, the statement said.
MP Hayat Mesimi presented grievances on behalf of the workers at the schools affiliated to the Islamic Centre Charity Society, where dozens of male and female workers have been fired over the last two months.
MP Dima Tahboub spoke about the importance of a clear mechanism in dealing with the Lower House memos related to citizens' issues, stressing the need to further address the citizens' complaints regarding violations from institutions and governmental companies. MP Hoda Atoum addressed the issue of unemployment, highlighting the need to grant former applicants in the Civil Service Bureau the priority in all government ministries and companies.
For his part, the Prime Minister pointed out the importance of any proposal that would enhance the delivery of services to the Jordanian citizens, noting that he will follow up on all the issues put forward with ministers and relevant governmental bodies.
