Work under way to establish medical university

By Petra - Nov 08,2012 - Last updated at Nov 08,2012

AMMAN — The Royal University for Medical Sciences board of trustees on Thursday held its first meeting to discuss issues regarding its establishment.

Construction work on the university began on September 1, in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives.

The college is being built on a 120-dunum plot near the airport road, with a 4,000-student capacity.

In addition to supplying the market with professional medical staff, the university will provide around 800 job opportunities.
