Wreikat meets with heads of nurses, dentists syndicates

AMMAN — Minister of Health Abdul Latif Wreikat on Thursday met with Jordan Nurses and Midwives Association (JNMA) President Mohammad Hatamleh.
Wreikat said the ministry was still hiring nurses according to the needs of public hospitals.
The minister also met with the acting president of the Jordan Dentists Association, Samir Qudah.
Qudah said the association would submit a proposal for a law to regulate the sector and called for a joint committee with the ministry to put an end to violations committed in the sector.
Health Minister Abdul Latif Wreikat on Sunday called on the Jordan Nurses and Midwives Association (JNMA) to freeze a decision to start an open-ended strike, so that patients are not affected.

The Jordan Nurses and Midwives Association (JNMA) on Saturday decided to postpone a planned strike by public sector nurses and midwives, scheduled to begin on Sunday.
