AMMAN — Baqaa play Algeria’s USM on Tuesday in the Round 3, Leg 2 of the Arab Football Association Clubs Cup. Fans hope Baqaa, who will play the match at 5:00pm Amman time, can put on a good performance although staying in contention, or advancing seems unattainable after they lost 6-0 to the Algerian team at the Amman International Stadium earlier this month. “We have monitored our opponents in their recent league matches and are heading into the match mentally prepared,’’ Baqaa’s Egyptian coach Tareq Sawi was quoted as saying in the local media. In other Leg 1 quarter-final matches, Saudi Arabia’s Nasr beat Kuwait’s Arabi 3-2, Algeria’s Shabab Bluzdad held Egypt’s Ismaili 1-1, Iraq’s Air Force drew 1-1 with Morocco’s Raja Casablanca. Two teams will qualify from Asia and two from Africa to Round 4.
