Jordan finds out opposition for basketball World Cup

AMMAN — Jordan has been drawn in Group G for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup taking place in China from August 31 to September 15, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
Joining them in the group will be The Dominican Republic, France and Germany following Saturday night’s draw held in the Chinese city of Shenzhen, where Jordan will also be playing its matches.
The national team secured its place in the World Cup for only the second time, after finishing a brilliant third in its Asian qualifying group. Other groups are Group A: Ivory Coast, Poland, Venezuela and China.
Group B: Russia, Argentina, South Korea and Nigeria. Group C: Spain, Iran, Puerto Rico and Tunisia. Group D: Angola, Philippines, Italy and Serbia. Group E: Turkey, Czech Republic, United States and Japan. Group F: Greece, New Zealand, Brazil and Montenegro. Group H: Canada, Senegal, Lithuania and Australia.
