Jordan’s Hindi breaks shot put world record

AMMAN — Jordan is celebrating a new world record holder after Ahmad Hindi has set a new shot put best at the Asian Paralympic Games taking place in Indonesia, according to the Jordan Olympic Committee News Service.
Hindi threw an incredible 12.7m in his category on Wednesday and followed it up by saying the best is yet to come.
“I am so glad to have achieved this record for Jordan and I believe I can throw even further and bring home a gold medal for my country at the next Paralympics in Tokyo in two years’ time,” he said.
