AMMAN — Basel Tarawneh, the government coordinator for human rights, on Wednesday met with the German Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Aid Bärbel Kofler.
They reviewed the Kingdom’s achievements in terms of laws, policies and practices. Tarawneh said that Jordan had achieved progress in human rights despite large challenges, such as the Syrian refugee influx, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kofler praised Jordan’s human rights efforts, noting that both countries’ governments seek to address difficulties in human rights and reach solutions to overcome those obstacles.
