AMMAN — Nine ministers, constituting 31 per cent of Cabinet members, are not present on social media websites, while the other 20 ministers have at least one account on Facebook and Twitter, Akeed, an online portal dedicated to monitoring the credibility of media, said on Wednesday.
The Akeed survey showed that 17 ministers have accounts on Facebook (58.62 per cent), and 11 ministers have accounts on Twitter (37.93 per cent), while eight ministers, including Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, have accounts on both websites, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Razzaz’s government statistics showed an improvement compared to former prime minister Hani Mulki’s Cabinet, where 72 per cent of its 29 members, including Mulki, was not present on social media outlets.
