AMMAN — The music, folklore, culture and arts events launched in Jordan’s "Golden Triangle" as part of the “Al Hawa Janoubi” (southern air) campaign and the “Urdun Jannah” programme have helped revive tourism and increase visitors to the area, Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez said on Friday in an interview with the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
While attending a musical event in Wadi Rum, Fayez said that these various events and activities were launched by the ministry, in cooperation with the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).
Organising these events followed the government's success in reaching a “safe summer” and vaccinating a large number of citizens, the minister noted.
Sharhabeel Madi, commissioner for tourism at ASEZA, said that these events are a great support to resuming tourism in the "Golden Triangle" and enhancing confidence in the Kingdom’s tourist products.
