SOUTHERN MAZAR — A total of 2,954 people visited the shrines of Prophet Mohammad’s companions in the south in March, said Osama Tarawneh, supervisor of the Southern Mazar shrines on Wednesday.

The visitors included 1,043 from Muslim and foreign countries, 587 from Arab countries and 1,324 Jordanians, according to Tarawneh.

He noted that work is under way to implement the first phase of the garden project that would connect the shrines of Jafar Bin Abi Taleb and Zeid Bin Haretha with the shrine of Abdullah Bin Rawaha at a cost of JD650,000.
