AMMAN — Seven new COVID-19 cases, no local infections, were registered in the Kingdom on Saturday, increasing the caseload to 1,111, the government announced.

The new cases included four Jordanians returning from abroad — three from Saudi Arabia and one from Kuwait — who have been in quarantine at designated hotels.

Among the new cases was three Jordanian truck drivers who tested positive at the Omari border crossing, the statement added.

Also on Saturday, 11 recovered patients left Prince Hamzah Hospital, while 7,234 virus tests were conducted, bringing the cumulative number of coronavirus tests administered since the beginning of the crisis to 369,560, according to the statement.

The Ministry of Health has renewed its call on citizens to use the “Aman” (Safety) application, which alerts users if they come into contact with a person infected with the virus.
