ACC certificates of origin see increase in 2022

AMMAN — The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) for exported goods stood at JD658 million during the first nine months of 2022, compared with JD545 million for the same period in 2021, marking an increase of 20.6 per cent, the ACC announced on Monday.

The certificates of origin issued during the January-September period of 2022 reached 27,048, compared with 28,988 during the same period in 2021, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing ACC figures. A total of 6,923 certificates went to Saudi Arabia, followed by 5,255 to Kuwait, 3,591 to the UAE, 1,044 to Iraq, and 784 to Egypt.

The ACC issues certificates of origin for local agricultural and animal products, as well as industrial products, reexported foreign goods, and foreign goods purchased in the local market under certain conditions.
