AMMAN — Journalists from Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen won the awards of the Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) network at the conclusion ceremony of its three-day forum, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The network’s ninth forum, held at the Dead Sea, hosted 400 Arab and foreign reporters. At the conclusion ceremony, the award jury announced the four winning investigative journalism reports out of 45 submitted reports.

ARIJ is funded by the Copenhagen-based International Media Support, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, the Norwegian foreign ministry, Open Society Foundation and the Netherlands embassy in Amman.

On Friday at the forum, Canadian organisation Journalists for Human Rights announced the winners of the best two reports on human rights in Jordan in 2016, according to an ARIJ statement. Jordanian journalist Dana Jibril nabbed two awards for reports on psychiatric health in Jordan and use of force in security raids.
