AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday attended the graduation ceremony of the 30th batch of the 66th Joint Command and Staff course at the Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College.
The commander of the college stressed that the college, within its institutional vision, has sought to align its outcomes with the requirements of the contemporary operational environment, according to a JAF statement.
“This has been achieved by focusing on developing leadership competence and enhancing the integration of military thought and academic sciences, ensuring the preparation of first-class leaders and staff officers capable of operating within a multi-domain joint operations system”, he added.
The commander noted that the college has worked to translate the Royal vision for developing JAF by updating its educational curricula to include the planning and concepts of joint operations and the demands of modern warfare with its emerging dimensions, including drone systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and information operations.
Such updates would contribute to developing staff officers' capabilities and enhancing their efficiency in military decision-making procedures.
Huneiti distributed certificates and prizes to graduates of the course, which grants a bachelor's degree in military science.
The course saw the participation of officers from various branches of JAF and security agencies, alongside officers from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, Rwanda, Morocco, Tanzania, Turkey, and France.
Writing in the VIP guestbook, Huneiti expressed his pride in the college's role in preparing and qualifying military leaders, wishing the institution further progress and success.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the president of Mutah University, the director of the Public Security Directorate, a number of high-ranking JAF and security officers, as well as several military attachés accredited to the Kingdom.
