Army chief, high-ranking officers attend Border Guard rapid response drill

AMMAN — The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Wednesday attended a rapid response drill carried out by the Border Guard’s First Brigade in one of the designated training fields.
The drill, which according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, was attended by Eastern Military Region Commander Brig. Gen. Nayef Ramadneh, encompassed various military functions, operations and weaponry.
Freihat also attended the opening ceremony of the Company Command offices, built by the International Organisation for Migration. Brig. Gen. Nasser Athamneh, chief of staff for strategic planning and defence resources at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, said that the army spares no effort or resource when it comes to protecting and controlling the borders against threats.
