Army chief meets Pentagon official

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Thursday received Theresa Whelan, US acting assistant secretary of defence for special operations/low intensity conflict, and an accompanying delegation.

Freihat and Whelan, in the presence of HRH Prince Feisal, discussed the latest developments in the regional and international arenas. They also considered ways to increase military cooperation and coordination, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
