ASEZA, GIZ project sign MoU to boost support for start-ups

AMMAN — The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and the GIZ-implemented "Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment" project on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding that aims to improve the support services offered to start-ups by creating an innovation-conducive environment. The memo was signed by Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh and ASEZA President Nayef Al Fayez. On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, the establishment of the Aqaba Entrepreneurship Network was announced, which includes 18 institutions from the public and private sectors, as well as stakeholders from civil society organisations dedicated to the entrepreneurship sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
