AMMAN — The Awqaf Ministry said on Sunday it will begin distributing Hajj permits to those born in 1946 or earlier next Saturday, August 2.

The distribution process concludes on August 7.

Those who registered to perform the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca should visit the ministry’s directorates or the King Abdullah I Mosque to receive the permits, Awqaf Minister Hayel Dawood said at a press conference.

Around 5,600 Jordanians have registered for Hajj this year, while 3,600 registered pilgrims are 1948 Palestinians.
