Certificates of origin up by 16.3% in January — ACC

AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) on Tuesday said that the number of certificates of origin issued in January increased by 16.3 per cent, compared with the same month of 2021.

The ACC issued 1,681 certificates of origin in January, compared with 1,445 certificates in the same month of 2021, the chamber said in a statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The majority of exports went to the UAE with 283 certificates, followed by 214 for Saudi Arabia, 83 for Iraq, 77 for Egypt and 15 to the US. In terms of value, Egypt topped the list with JD10 million, followed by Iraq with JD9 million, the UAE with JD6 million, Saudi Arabia with JD4 million and the US with JD2 million, the ACC added.
