CICA chief praises Jordan’s leading diplomatic role

AMMAN — Executive Director of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay on Wednesday praised the role of Jordan, through its membership with the conference, mainly due to the Kingdom’s relations with many countries. 

Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Sarybay said that cooperation is ongoing between the conference and Jordan regarding various issues.

He also noted that the Kingdom is scheduled to host some of the activities of the conference over the coming period, stressing Amman’s diplomatic role in a troubled region. 

The director also expressed appreciation of Jordan’s humanitarian role in receiving refugees and providing them with shelter and basic services, noting that work is underway to establish a fund for the conference to offer support for countries like Jordan to help them play a humanitarian role towards refugees.
