AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulkarim Al Dhughmi on Thursday held meetings with Japan’s Ambassador to Jordan Kaoru Shimazaki, Greek Ambassador to Jordan Eleftheria Galathianak and Iranian Ambassador in Jordan Ali Asghar Nasseri.
Dhughmi, during a meeting with the Japanese envoy, expressed appreciation of Japan’s supportive stances towards Jordan in various fields. The Japanese diplomat stressed that Jordan and Japan “see eye to eye” on various issues, notably the two-state solution, commending Jordan’s stances and its rejection for wars.
During the meeting with the Greek diplomat, the two sides discussed bilateral ties and issues of shared interest. The envoy highlighted efforts towards increasing the number of scholarships offered to Jordanian students, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Dhughmi and Iranian ambassador emphasised their countries’ keenness to advance Jordanian-Iranian relations, mainly in the parliamentary field.
