AMMAN – Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Monday raided three houses in Zarqa and arrested seven suspects with criminal records, a Public Security Department (PSD) statement said.
The taskforce searched the three houses and found 5,000 narcotic pills, two palm-sized sheets of hashish, two weapons and a sum of money.
In Aqaba AND personnel raided another house of a suspect, arrested him and confiscated ninesheets of hashish. The World Anti-Doping Agency’s latest report indicates that Jordan remains a corridor country — rather than a destination — for drug trafficking.
