Erasmus+ project aims to enhance higher education in Kingdom

By JT - Feb 10,2020 - Last updated at Feb 10,2020

AMMAN — Erasmus+, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport, officially launched a project to build capacities in Jordan’s higher education field during an event organised by Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), which was held at the Dead Sea on Sunday and Monday, according to a PSUT statement.

The project, titled “Enhancing Teaching, Learning and Graduate Employability through University-Enterprise Cooperation” (ELEGANT), aims to enhance university enterprise cooperation in the Kingdom in order to improve the teaching and learning experience of students and enhance the employability of graduates, the PSUT website said.

ELEGANT is being conducted in response to “the widely recognised problem” that university graduates often lack the employability skills needed by employers and their knowledge in the field of ICT “is below that of companies they want to work in”, according to the website.
