Fayez meets with German ambassador over ties, region

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday met with German Ambassador to Jordan Bernhard Kampmann and discussed means of bolstering cooperation in political and economic fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Fayez expressed appreciation for the high level of bilateral relations. The senate president encouraged the German side to increase its investments in Jordan, take advantage of available investment opportunities, support projects to diversify water sources in Jordan and improve water and sewage networks.

The meeting also focused on regional developments, foremost of which is finding a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, based on the two-state solution and international resolutions. 

Kampmann voiced Germany’s keenness to strengthen its ties with Jordan, praising the role that Jordan plays under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah in order to end the region's conflicts and restore security and stability.
