Final plans established for 2022 Eager Lion drill, scheduled for September

AMMAN — The final planning conference for 2022 Eager Lion drill concluded on Thursday, in the presence of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Director of Military Training Brig. Gen. Kayed Jaarat and senior officers of participating countries.
Speaking at the event, Jaarat said that the 2022 Eager Lion exercise is a “great opportunity” for participating troops to test operational defensive capabilities in combating terrorism, border security, maritime security, disaster response and humanitarian aid, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the conference, the drill's scenario was reviewed to simulate strategic changes in the regional and international environment, to meet all participating countries' defence requirements. Scheduled to kick off in September 2022, 30 countries are planned to participate in the multi-national drill's activities, in addition to Jordan and the US.
