FM, Kazakh counterpart stress increased cooperation on 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister  of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi on Thursday received a phone call from Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi on the occasion of 30 years of establishing diplomatic ties between the two countries. The two ministers discussed mechanisms for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the countries in various areas, mainly at the economic, commercial and cultural levels.

The two sides stressed the importance of holding the fifth session of the Joint Jordanian-Kazakh Committee, according to a Foreign Ministry statement. Safadi and Tileuberdi stressed the significance of sustaining joint action and coordination between the two nations on issues of mutual interest. Safadi commended the important role of Kazakhstan as part of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The Kazakh minister stressed the "deep-rooted" ties between the two countries, noting that Jordan is an important partner of Kazakhstan in the Middle East.
