Foreign ministers of Arab nations to discuss Palestinian cause today

AMMAN — The foreign ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco and Palestine, who are members of the ministerial delegation of the Arab Peace Initiative Committee, in addition to the foreign ministers of Tunisia, an Arab member of the Security Council, and Oman, which chairs the current League of Arab States Council session at the ministerial level, and Kuwait, a former Arab member of the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss developments related to the Palestinian cause.

The ministers, during the virtual gathering hosted by Jordan, will discuss efforts to support Palestinians and overcome the challenges hindering the peace process. Talks will also go over relaunching “serious and effective” negotiations to achieve a just and comprehensive peace on the basis of a two-state solution, in accordance with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
