AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Thursday received the commander of the Iraqi air force, Anwar Amin, and an accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Royal Jordanian Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two parties discussed matters pertaining to the enhancement of bilateral cooperation and coordination with regards to the Jordanian and Iraqi armed forces.
Earlier on Thursday, Freihat also met with a Nigerian military delegation, led by Nuratu Batagarawa, permanent secretary of the Nigerian defence ministry.
Freihat and Nigerian delegation discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination in various defence-related fields, according to Petra.
The director of the King Abdullah Design and Development Bureau and a number of high-ranking Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army officers attended the meeting.
