French-Jordanian forum addresses water scarcity

AMMAN — France is ready to help Jordan with its water scarcity crisis, French Ambassador Caroline Dumas said Tuesday.
She made these remarks at the opening ceremony of the 1st French-Jordanian Forum for Water Sustainability held in Amman.
Water Minister Hazem Nasser, who inaugurated the forum deputising for HRH Prince Hassan, said that the Kingdom has shared its already limited water resources with Syrian refugees.
Participants addressed long-term plans to sustain water and attract investments in the sector, in addition to discussing the Red Sea-Dead Sea project.
