AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) on Thursday announced partial traffic detours starting Friday to finish construction work on the Bus Rapid Transit project, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
GAM, in cooperation with the central traffic department, used concrete barriers to block traffic from the bridge going from Jubeiha to Sweileh, Petra reported, adding that traffic will be directed to the lane coming from Sweileh and the University of Jordan to Jubeiha's traffic lights, a short distance of no more than 150 metres.
The traffic will return to its usual route after two months from Friday, GAM said.
