GAM supervisor who purportedly assaulted worker on video suspended

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has suspended a work supervisor after he was seen in a video purportedly assaulting a worker verbally and pushing him, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Thursday.

In a statement, carried out by Petra, the municipality said that a specialised committee, which was formed yesterday, will begin the investigation on the incident.

The municipality stressed that it “will not hesitate” to take actions to preserve its workers› rights and protect their dignity as well as to ensure a mutual respect between workers and their supervisors, which will eventually positively influence the quality of services provided to the city and its citizens.
