Gov’t open to exporting produce to Europe via air freight — PM

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Wednesday expressed the government’s readiness to consider supporting the export of fruits and vegetables to Russia and Europe via air freight, due to regional unrest.
Chairing a meeting of the Higher Agricultural Council, Ensour discussed issues of concern to the sector with the members. Agriculture Minister Akef Zu’bi said the government has implemented many procedures to support farmers and provide protection for local produce.
