AMMAN — The Health Ministry on Tuesday denied reports that it had issued licences for centres specialised in stem cells treatment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Ministry’s Spokesperson Hatem Azrui said the committee formed by the health minister to look into scientific recommendations and standards to use stem cells for treatment in addition to research to treat different diseases, did not yet finish its work.
He discredited allegations about the national committee’s agreement to issue licences for stem cells’ treatment centres at the University of Jordan.
