Health Ministry refutes reports of cholera infection in Mafraq

AMMAN — The Ministry of Health on Saturday refuted reports that a patient at Mafraq Governmental Hospital was diagnosed with cholera, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Health Ministry's Secretary General for Epidemiological and Communicable Diseases Raed Shboul said that the patient in question does not suffer from any cholera-related symptoms, highlighting that she tested negative.
The patient, a young girl, was discharged from the hospital on Saturday after undergoing the necessary medical tests, he added.
